Welcome to San Diego Permit Company, Inc. Our mission is to make the often long and tedious process of applying and obtaining building permits within the city of San Diego, the County of San Diego, and other surrounding cities; faster, easier, and less stressful. Moving: The City of San Diego is saying their schedule to move to the adjacent Sempra building will be between January 2nd and January 6th of 2020.  Therefore, they would open on January 7th at the new location.

Breaking News (November 2019):  The City of San Diego has releases a memo regarding limited staff and extended wait times as we get closer to the end of the year and the coming code change.  The new code will take effect January 1st, 2020.  The City’s last day to accept plans is December 24th, 2019.

Deferred Submittals (July 2019): The City has decided that after lots of feedback and customer communication that they will not proceed with the requirement of fire sprinkler and/or alarm plans to be reviewed with the building plans.  Please review the current Deferred Submittal Info Bulletin here.

Forms update: City of San Diego has new Hazardous Materials Reporting form (DS-165) and are now using the regional hazardous materials form. Also, there are new forms and procedures for fire sprinkler and alarm inspections called Affidavit for Fire Sprinkler Alterations(DS-161) and Affidavit for Fire Alarm Alterations(DS-163)
